Reliance Natural Resources Fund debuted at Rs 10.1462 per unit, up 1.5% from its face value of Rs 10 per unit. The scheme, whose initial public offering closed on January 31, re-opened for fresh investments and sales.
Reliance Mutual Fund had attracted over Rs 5,660 crore with the launch Reliance Natural Resources Fund. This is the second highest collection by Reliance Capital AMC after Reliance Equity Fund, which had collected over Rs 5,700 crore from over 9.25 lakhs investors in March 2006.
Reliance Natural Resources Fund is an open-ended equity scheme, launched on January 1, 2008. The primary investment objective of the scheme is to seek to generate capital appreciation and provide long-term growth opportunities by investing in companies principally engaged in the discovery, development, production, or distribution of natural resources and the secondary objective is to generate consistent returns by investing in debt and money market securities.
